대학/청년부 환영회(College and Career Group Welcome Meeting)

지난 금요일 저녁에 대학/청년부 환영회를 가졌습니다. 총 16명이 참여하였습니다. 먼저 저녁 식사를 맛있게 먹었습니다. 식사 친교가 끝난 후 8시부터 9시까지는 기도회 모임을 가졌습니다. 먼저 기쁨으로 모두가 찬양하였습니다. 그리고 사무엘상 3:1-14 말씀을 함께 나누었습니다. 사무엘은 각자 자기의 소견에 옳은 대로 행하는 사사 시대를 끝내고 새로운 시대를 연 인물입니다. 하나님은 어린 사무엘을 여러 번 부르셨습니다. 하지만 그는 엘리 제사장이 부르는 것으로 착각하였습니다. 마침내 사무엘은 여호와의 부르심에 응답합니다: “여호와여, 말씀하시옵소서 주의 종이 듣겠나이다.” 사무엘은 하나님의 말씀을 저버린 세대에서 그분의 말씀을 듣겠다고 응대한 것입니다. 오늘날 하나님이 찾는 인물이 바로 이러한 자입니다. 영적 부흥을 이끌 사람은 하나님을 경외하고 그 말씀대로 행하는 사람입니다. 말씀을 마친 후에는 세, 네 명씩 나누어 중보 하며 기도하였습니다. 모임을 마친 후 잠시 휴식시간을 가졌습니다. 그후 3팀으로 나누어 게임을 하였습니다. 웃음 소리와 박수 소리가 끊이지 않았습니다. 모두가 한 주간의 스트레스를 떨어버리는 것 같았습니다. 서로를 알고 즐거워하는 시간이었습니다. 10:50쯤 게임 친교 시간은 끝났습니다. 서로 인사를 나누고 학교로 집으로 돌아갔습니다. 오랜만에 가진 모임은 모두에게 영적으로 육적으로 정서적으로 새롭게 되는 시간이었습니다. 처음 참석한 사람들도 모두 즐거워하였습니다. 실로 주님께서 우리에게 기쁨을 주셨습니다. 주님이 우리의 기쁨의 원천이 되어 주셨습니다. 앞으로도 이러한 모임을 정기적으로 가졌으면 하는 마음이 들었습니다. 젊은 청년들이 주님의 군사로 성장하고 후대의 지도자로 자라나길 기도합니다. 청년/대학부는 잠시 있다 떠나가는 사람들이 아니라 우리 은혜 교회의 일부입니다. 이들이 어느 곳으로 가든 우리는 이들을 사랑으로 기억하며 기도할 것입니다. 이들이 주님의 능하신 은혜로 하나님과 이웃 사랑을 실천하길 기도합니다. 늘 주님의 넘치는 은혜 안에 머물기를 기원합니다. 

On this past Friday night, we had College and Career Group Welcome meeting. The total of 16 from the group participated in the meeting. We had delicious dinner together. After the meal fellowship, we held our prayer meeting from 8 to 9. First, all of us praised God with gladness. Then, I preached on 1 Sam. 3:1-14. Ending the period of the Judges, during which each did what was right in his own eyes, Samuel started a new age. God called the young boy Samuel several times. But he assumed that the high priest Eli was calling him. At last, Samuel responded to the call of Yahweh as follows: “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening!” Samuel was saying, “I will listen to You,” among the people who rejected the word of God. Today, God is looking for people like Samuel. Those who lead spiritual revival are fearing the Lord and walking according to His Word. After the preaching, we formed several groups of three or four and prayed for one another. After finishing this meeting, we took a short break. Then, we were divided into three groups for playing games. We were continuously laughing and clapping. Everyone seemed to break away from his or her weeklong stresses. Each one got to know and enjoy one another. Around 10:50, all game fellowship time was finished. After saying “Goodbye” to one another, everyone went back to school or home. The meeting in a long time gave each of us a time of spiritual, physical, and emotional refreshment. Those who attended the meeting for the first time enjoyed it thoroughly. Indeed, the Lord granted us joy. The Lord became the Source of our joy. I wished we could hold a meeting like this on a regular basis. I pray all of our young people would grow mature as soldiers of the Lord and future leaders as well. Our College and Career members are not passing through our church, but part of our Grace Church. Wherever they may go, we will remember them in love and pray for them. I pray that they would practice love for God and neighbor by the Lord’s enabling love. May all of them always remain in the Lord’s overflowing love!
