보이지 않는 전쟁(An Invisible War)

우리는 보이지 않는 전쟁을 치르고 있습니다. 왜냐하면 우리의 공동의 적 코로나 바이러스는 육안으로 보이지 않기 때문입니다. 지금까지 이 치명적인 바이러스는 전세계적으로 이십 육만 오천 명 이상을 죽였습니다. 수천 만명의 직장을 잃게 하였습니다. 이들의 생계를 위험에 빠지게 하였습니다. 이 원수는 국경, 인종, 종교를 가로질러 행군하고 있습니다. 온 인류를 대항하여 싸우고 있습니다. 우리를 집 안에 가두었습니다. 죽음에 대한 두려움을 사람들의 마음에 심어 놓았습니다. 조용히 국경을 넘어 전세계에 사회적 혼란을 일으켰습니다. 경제는 큰 타격을 입었습니다. 정서적 쇠약으로 고생합니다. 관계적 문제는 악화되고 있습니다. 이 보이지 않는 원수는 실제가 아닌 것처럼 보이지만 인구가 밀집된 지역을 타겟으로 삼아 공격하며 많은 인명을 빼앗아 갔습니다. 전염으로 인해 가족들은 분리되었습니다. 죽음을 앞둔 부모님께 가까이 할 수가 없습니다. 그들을 만지지도, 안지도 못하고 그저 죽어 가시는 것만을 지켜볼 뿐입니다. 코로나 바이러스는 무기가 부족하지 않습니다. 전략이 좋습니다. 한 사람을 전염시키면 됩니다. 그러면 그 사람은 바이러스의 에이전트가 되어 많은 사람을 전염시킵니다. 순식간에 그의 에이전트를 많이 구축합니다. 계속해서 그 치명적인 존재로 전세계를 점령하려고 합니다. 이미 인류를 대항한 전쟁에서 승리를 주장하고 있는 것 같습니다. 하지만 우리는 결코 패배하지 않을 것입니다. 아무리 전염성이 강해도 우리 세계를 무너뜨리도록 허락하지 않을 것입니다. 우리는 기필코 그것의 치명적인 확산을 멈출 것입니다. 우리는 곧 우리 사회 속에서 그것을 몰아낼 것입니다. 우리는 조심하고 서로 사랑하며 그것의 두려움을 극복할 것입니다. 우리는 의학의 진보를 통하여 그것을 공격할 것이며 끝내 점령할 것입니다. 하나님의 은혜로 그것을 정복할 것입니다. 그리고 평화와 정상적인 생활을 되찾을 것입니다. 이 보이지 않는 전쟁이 얼마나 더 지속될지는 정확하게 모릅니다. 가능한 빨리 종료되길 기도하고 있습니다. 우리는 이 전쟁에서 낙담하지 말아야 합니다. 두려움에 무력화 되지 말아야 합니다. 사실 사탄은 두려움을 이용하여 우리가 하나님이 주신 삶을 누리지 못하도록 막습니다. 사탄은 보이지 않는 코로나 바이러스를 이용하여 전세계를 패닉 상태에 몰아 넣습니다. 우리의 보이지 않는 대적 사탄과 영적 전쟁 중에 있음을 기억할 필요가 있습니다. 사탄은 세상을 혼돈에 빠뜨리려 합니다. 사람들이 하나님을 멀리하도록 시도합니다. 사탄은 사람의 마음에 의심, 불화, 미움의 씨를 뿌리는데 명수입니다. 그의 간교함과 거짓됨을 분별해야 합니다. 우리의 보이지 않는 적들, 코로나 바이러스와 사탄을 대항하여 이기려면 우리의 대장이신 그리스도를 의지해야 합니다. 우리 모두 하나님의 전신 갑주를 입고 보이지 않는 적들의 간계를 대항하여 굳게 섭시다. 

We have been waging an invisible war because our common enemy COVID -19 is invisible to our naked eyes. So far, this deadly virus has killed over 265,000 people all over the world. It has removed tens of millions of jobs. It has put their livelihood in danger. This enemy has been marching across borders, races, or religions. It is against the entire human race. It has locked us within our homes. It has effectively planted fear of death into the hearts of people. It has silently cross the borders and wreaked social mayhem against the whole world. Economy is hit hard. Emotional breakdown is seen everywhere. Relational trouble is worsening. This invisible enemy doesn’t seem real, but it has targeted heavily populated cities and claimed many precious lives. Families are separated because of contagion. They can’t get close to their dying parents. They merely watch them dying without touching or hugging them. It has no lack of ammunition. It has a great strategy. It simply infects one person. That person becomes its agent carrying the virus to many others. It secures its many agents in no time. It keeps attempting to conquer the whole world with its deadly presence. Now, it seems to claim its victory against mankind. However, we will not be defeated by this enemy. No matter how infectious it is, we will not let it destroy the world. Certainly, we will stop it from continuing its deadly spread. Sooner or later we will remove it from our communities. We will overcome its fear with caution and mutual love for each other. We will attack it with our medical break-throughs and contain it in due time. By God’s grace, we will conquer it. Then, we will regain peace and normalcy. We do not know exactly how long this invisible war will last. We all pray that it comes to an end as quickly as possible. In this war, we must not be discouraged. We should not be paralyzed by fear. Indeed, Satan uses a fear tactic to keep us from enjoying God-given life. Satan uses the invisible coronavirus to plunge the whole world into panic. We should be reminded that we are engaged in spiritual warfare against Satan the invisible archenemy. Satan tries to drive the world into chaos. He tries to drive people away from God. He is good at sowing doubt, discord, and hatred into the soil of the human heart. We should be discerning His subtlety and deception. Christ is our almighty Captain that we should rely on to win against our invisible foes, both coronavirus and Satan. Let’s put on the full armor of God so that we can stand firm against the schemes of our invisible enemies.
