여호와께 감사하라

Give thanks to the Lord

[01] 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다

To Him who alone does great wonders, For His lovingkindness is everlasting;

[26] 하늘의 하나님께 감사하라 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다

A research agency found that the percentage of Christians expressing gratitude was 30%.

오늘은 시편에서 감사를 어떻게하고 있는 지를 보겠습니다. 그리고 여러분과 저의 삶속에서 어떻게 감사 할 지를 살펴 보겠습니다.

Today we will look at how gratitude is expressed in the Psalms. And let's look at how to be grateful in your life and mine.

 

오늘 저는 Thanksgiving을 그린빌 성도들과 함께 하게 되어 매우 기쁩니다. 요한계시록 7:10에서, 각 나라와 족속과 다른 언어를 가진 구원받은 백성들이 하나님이 앞에서 하나님을 찬양하면서 구원하심이 보좌에 앉으신 하나님께 있다고 예배하는 장면을 볼 수 있습니다.

Today I am very happy to worship Thanksgiving with you.

In Revelation 7:10, we see people from different nations and tribes who speak various languages ​​gather together to worship and praise the same God.

Our worship today reflects this image. Although we speak different languages with different cultures, we are all one in God’s family, brothers and sisters in Christ. Please turn to each other, smile brightly, and say “I love you”.

시편은 가장 긴 성경입니다. 총 몇장입니까?  시편은 6가지로 분류합니다.

The Book of Psalms is the longest book of the Bible. How many psalms are there in total? And Psalms are classified into six categories.

⓵ ‘탄식하는 시’

(개인과 공동체의 어려움을 호소하고 원수들을 하나님께 고발합니다.)

‘ Poem of mourning ’ - an appeal to individual and

community difficulties and accusation of enemies to God.

⓶ ‘찬양하는 시’(하나님을 찬양합니다)

‘ Poem of praise ’ - praises God.

⓷ ‘신뢰하는 시’(하나님에 대한 신뢰를 선언하고, 하나님의 구원을 확신 합니다),

‘ Poem of faith ’ - a declaration of faith in God and

a conviction of God's salvation.

⓸ ‘왕이신 하나님에 대한 시’(왕으로 오시는 메시아를 기대하는 시입니다.),

‘ Poem of God the King ’ - expectancy of the coming

of the Messiah as our King.

⓹ ‘지혜를 노래하는 시’(하나님의 말씀과 삶에 대한 교훈을 담고 있습니다.)

‘ Poem of praising wisdom ’ - contains God's Word and lessons about life.

⓺‘감사하는 시’입니다. ‘ ‘ Poem of gratitude ’

오늘 136편은 ‘감사시’입니다. 하나님의 구체적인 사역을 모든 성도들과 함께 감사로 표현합니다. 특히, 하나님이 하신 일들에 대한 내용입니다. 고쳐주시고, 적들과 고통으로부터 구원하시고, 모든 필요를 채워주신 것들입니다.

Today’s passage from Psalm 136 is a “poem of gratitude.” The people who served in specific salvation works of God are expressing gratitude together. Specifically, it’s about the work of God, His healing, saving, and fulfilling needs.

136편은 먼저 감사의 내용이 나오고 회중이 함께 감사 합니다. 역사를 기억하고 현재 먹을 것을 주신 것까지 구체적으로 기록하고 있습니다. 25절입니다, “모든 육체에게 먹을 것을 주신 이에게 감사하라 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다.”

Psalm 136 first talks about what to be grateful for, then the congregation expresses gratitude together. It is a remembrance of history up to the very details of the present, like receiving the daily bread. It says in verse 25, “He gives food to every creature. His love endures forever.”

136편은 총 21개의 감사의 내용이 나옵니다.

Psalm 136 has a total of 21 counts of gratitude.

 01~04절에서 위대하시며 유일무이하신 하나님께 찬양하며(야훼 )

Verses 01--04 Praise the great and unique God in (Yahweh)

 05-09절은 6개로(하늘, 땅, 빛, 해 달과별)세상을 만드시고 다스리시는 하나님을 감사하고 (창조자 )

Verses 05-09 thanks God for His six creations to govern the world.(creator)

 10-15절은 6개의 애굽으로부터 구원하신 하나님을 노래하고(구속자)

Verses 10-15 sings about the six ways God saved His people from Egypt. (Redeemer)

 16-22절은 6개의 광야생활에서 가나안에 들어가게 하신 하나님을(인도자 Leader)

Verses 16-22 describe how God led His people into Canaan from the

six different wilderness lives. (Leader)

 마지막으로 23-25절은 3개로 우리의 삶 속에서 신실하신 하나님 (보호자)입니다

Verses 23-25 recount the three ways God is faithful to us in our lives (Guardian)

 

그러면 제가 오늘 본문의 앞의 내용을 읽으면 여러분이 “그의 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원 함이로”라고 함께 읽으시기를 바랍니다. (미국 분들은 나누어 드린 프린트를 보시기를 바랍니다). So, as I read the previous part of today’s text, I want you to read along with us, “For he is good, and his love endures forever.” ( English-speakers, please see the printed English copy).

그러면 감사가 어떻게 무엇을 감사해 야 할지 우리에게 주는 의미를 살펴 보겠습니다

Now let’s look at what gratitude means to us.

 

첫째, 감사는 모든 것을 주시는 분이 하나님이심을 인정하는 것입니다.

 

First, thankfulness is acknowledging that God is the provider for all.

무엇보다 감사는 내가 나의 인생의 주인이 아니라 나의 주인은 하나님이심을 인정하는 것입니다. 이 세상의 왕은 하나님이십니다. 오늘 시편은 26번 “그는 선하시며 그의 사랑은 영원하심을” 반복적으로 노래합니다.

The most important thing is acknowledging that God is our master and of our lives, not ourselves. The king of this world is our God. Today’s passage 26times repeatedly sings, “His love endures forever.”

시편 14:1(시편 53:1)은 어리석은 자의 특징이 기록되어 있습니다.

Psalm 14:1 (Psalm 53:1) talks of a fool.

“어리석은 자는 그 마음에 이르기를 하나님이 없다 하도다 저희는 부패하고 소행이 가증하여 선을 행하는 자가 없도다.”

“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.”

 

우리는 매일 변합니다. 아침에 품은 생각이 저녁이 되면 바껴 있습니다. (오늘은 짜장면을 먹어야지 생각 하다가 다른것을 먹습니다.) 하나님이 계시지 않는 것처럼 살때가 많습니다. 마치 세상이 영원한 것 처럼 생각하고 세상이 우리에게 만족함을 줄 것이라 믿습니다. 

여러분 세상은 변하지만 하나님의 인자가(사랑, 성실) 영원히 변하지 않으심을 믿습니까?  하나님은 모든 것에 선하시며 그는 변하지 않으신 영원하신 분이심을 인정하십니까? 이것을 우리들이 가장 먼저 인정 하라고 말씀하십니다.. 

“범사에 감사 하라”는 말씀은 하나님이 우리에게 주신 권면이 아니라 명령으로 주어진 것임을 인정하는 것입니다. 

 

We change every day. There are many times when we live as if God does not exist. We think of the world as if it lasts forever and believe that the world will give us satisfaction.  Do you believe that the world changes, but God’s kindness never changes?  God is good in all things and He is unchanging and eternal. God's kindness is eternal. He tells us to be the first to admit this.

The words “Give thanks in all circumstances” acknowledge that God gave us a command, not an admonition.

 

둘째, 감사는 구체적인 내용을 잘 기억하고, 마음으로부터 입으로 고백하는 것입니다.

Second, thankfulness means remembering specific details and confessing them from the heart to the mouth.

사람들은 지나간 일들을 잘 기억하지 못합니다. 경우에 따라서는 어제 일도 그렇습니다. 우리가 지난 주 ‘아멘’하고 은혜 받았든 말씀도 잘 기억하지 못합니다. (야곱이 하늘의 사다리를 보았습니다. 그것이 하늘과 땅을 이어 주었습니다. 우리가 이런 일을 하는 사람들입니다. 하나님의 이름과 뚯을 내가 사는 곳에서 이루면서 살아가는 것입니다)

People cannot remember well of things that are passed. Depending on the situation, even yesterday is a blurry memory. We cannot remember what we said “amen” to last week or the blessings we received or the sermons we heard. (Jacob saw a ladder to heaven. It connected heaven and earth. We are the people who do this. We live by fulfilling God’s name and commands where we live.)

그러나 오늘 136편의 시인은 지나간 하나님의 하신 일들을 비교적 상세히 기억합니다.

감사는 추상적이거나 그냥 묶어서 대강 Thanks 정도가 아닙니다.

 

그러므로 여러분, 시간과 장소를 내어서 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜를 기록하시기를 바랍니다. 그러고 나서 마지막에 “그의 선하심과 그의 인자하심이 영원합니다.”라고 붙여 보십시오.

However, Psalm 136 records with great detail of the things God did in the past. Gratefulness is not an abstract idea or simply a “thanks”. Therefore, I hope that you would record God’s grace today by giving him our time and place. And at the end, add “His goodness and grace endures forever”.

시편이 마지막이 150편인데, 나의 151편을 ‘감사 시’로 만드십시오. 그리고 가정에서 부부가 아이들과 아니면 혼자서라고 큰 소리로 읽으십시오. 하나님은 입으로 표현하고 노래하는 것을 기뻐하시고 만족하십니다.  

 

The last psalm is Psalm 150, but make your psalm 151 of “thankfulness”. And read it out loud at home, either as a couple with the kids or on your own. God is overjoyed and pleased when we confess with our words and sing of his goodness.

 

셋째, 감사는 개인에서 공동체와 함께 하는 것입니다.

Third, thankfulness is from an individual to a community.

감사는 개인이지만 공동체가 함께 하면 더욱 배가 됩니다. 행 4:42절에은 초기 예루살렘교회의 성도들의 삶을 말씀합니다 “날마다 모여 가르침을 받고, 함께 먹고 교제했습니다. “ 그리고 그리고 시라아 안디옥교회는 기근으로 고생하는  예루살렘교회를 위해서 헌금해서 무려 480km 걸어서 바나바와 사울의 손으로 전달 한 것은 감사를 표현하는 대표적 인 예입니다. (행 11:29-30)

26.   그래서 제자들은 각각 자기 형편에 따라 몫을 정하여, 유대에 사는 신도들에게 구제금을 보내기로 결정하였다.

27.   그들은 그대로 실행해서, 바나바와 사울 편에 그것을 장로들에게 보냈다.

 

Being thankful can be individual, but sharing it with a community is more fruitful. The Saints of the early Jerusalem church gathered daily, taught, ate, and had fellowship together. And, the Syrian Antioch Church donated an offering to the Jerusalem Church suffering from famine and walked 480km to deliver it to Barnabas and Saul, which is a representative example of expressing gratitude. (Acts 11:29-30)

 

26.              And in the proportion that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brethren living in Judea.

27.              And this they did, sending it in charge of Barnabas and Saul to the elders.

 

주기도문의 처음은 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지입니다. 하나님은 우리의 아버지입니다. 26절, 하늘에 계신 하나님께 감사합니다. 하늘의 하나님이 우리 아버지 되십니다. 하나님이 우리 아버지이심을 고백하는 곳이 교회 공동체입니다.

The Lord’s Prayer begins with “our Father who art in heaven.” The God of heaven is our Father, as it says in verse 26 to “give thanks to the God of heaven.” The church community is where we confess that God is our Father.

아무리 오늘 시대가 개인주의가 되더라고 우리는 자주 모여서 서로를 축복하고 하나님의 말씀을 나누고 함께 감사하는 공동체가 되기를 바랍니다. 세상은 변하고 없어져도 하나님을 예배하는 교회는 영원합니다.

감사를 어떻게 표현 해야 할까 ?

교회에서의 봉사의 단계를 넘어서 받은 은혜를 나누어야 한다. 엽서를 쓴다든지 작은 선물을 준비 한든지 도움이 필요한 사람에게로 은혜의 통로가 되어서 감사를 표현 할 때 개인과 가족을 넘어 사회로 온 열방으로 확장 되어 가야 합니다. 다른 사람들을 돕고 섬기는 일에 감사가 발전 할때 더욱 감사가 풍성해 집니다. 

우리는 저번주 구제헌금을 했습니다. 여러분들의 의견으로 사람들을 섬기는 데 사용 될 것입니다  

  No matter how individualistic today’s society gets, it’s important to continue to gather together as a community where we can bless each other and share the word of God. Even though the world changes and disappears, the church that worships God is eternal. How should I express my gratitude?

We must go beyond the level of service at church and share the grace we have received. When we express our gratitude by becoming a channel of grace to those in need, whether by writing a postcard or preparing a small gift, we must extend beyond individuals and families to society and all nations. Gratitude becomes more abundant as you develop gratitude for helping and serving others. 

We made a relief offering last week. Your opinions will be used to serve people.

윌리엄 로우는(Williamm Low) “위대한 성도는 기도를 많이 했다든지, 금식을 많이 했다든지, 혹은 자선을 많이 베풀었다는 사람이 아니라, 범사에 감사하는 사람이다” 라고 했습니다.

빌립보서 4:6-7말씀은 감사가 우리 에게 평안이란 선물을 준다고 합니다..  

William Low said, “A great saint is not one who prayed a lot, fasted much, or gave much charity, but one who is thankful in all things.”

Philippians 4:6-7 says that gratitude gives us the gift of peace.

“아무것도 염려하지 말고, 모든 일을 오직 기도와 간구로 하고, 여러분이 바라는 것을 감사하는 마음으로 하나님께 아뢰십시오. 그리하면 사람의 헤아림을 뛰어 넘는 하나님의 평화가 여러분의 마음과 생각을 그리스도 예수 안에서 지켜 줄 것입니다.”

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

 

감사는 마음과 생각 가운데 있어서는 안 됩니다. 반드시 표현하는 것입니다. 그리고 함께 기뻐하는 것입니다. 감사가 풍성한 Thanksgiving이 되기를 바랍니다.

Thankfulness should not be in between heart and thought. It must be expressed. And it is rejoicing together. I pray that this Thanksgiving is full of gratefulness.

 

 

하나님과 사람에게 받은 감사를  나누시고 표현하시는 감사절이  되기를 바랍니다.
