구속의 은혜(The Grace of Redemption)

자유의 가치를 존중하고 지키는 나라에서 산다는 것은 특권입니다. 우리는 사람으로서 기본적인 권리와 자유를 부여 받았습니다. 하지만 우리는 이 권리와 자유를 누리며 살고 있다고 느끼지 못하는 경우가 많습니다. 많은 학생들이 학업에 매여 자유를 누리지 못한다고 느낍니다. 직장인들도 일하지 않고 마음껏 인생을 즐기며 살고 싶어합니다. 그렇기에 직장에 속박되어 산다는 느끼는 사람들이 많습니다. 가정 주부들도 부담스런 가사일에 매여 산다고 느끼며 늘 벗어나고 싶어합니다. 많은 현대인들은 결혼을 속박으로 여기며 결혼하지 않으려 합니다. 가정도 속박으로 여기며 자유롭게 살고자 하는 젊은이들이 많습니다. 여기서 말하는 자유는 아무 것에도 매이지 않고 자유롭게 사는 것을 뜻합니다. 책임, 의무, 본분도 속박으로 보기에 벗어나려고 하는 욕구는 끊이지 않습니다. 책임을 다하는 사람이 참으로 자유 한 사람이지 책임을 회피하는 사람이 자유 한 사람은 아닙니다. 자기 마음대로 행하는 사람은 결코 자유 하지 못하고 자기라는 굴레에 속박된 사람입니다. 이는 사람이 죄인이기 때문입니다. 아담과 하와의 범죄이후로 사람은 죄의 종이 되고 말았습니다. 이것은 알지 못하기에 끊임 없이 학업, 가정, 직장, 일상이 자기를 억압하고 억매이게 한다고 느낍니다. 구원 받은 사람은 자기가 죄의 종이었던 것은 아는 사람입니다. 자기 안에 죄의 본성이 있는 것을 인정합니다. 아무리 노력해도 스스로 그 죄의 본성에서 벗어날 수 없음을 압니다. 태어날 때부터 가지고 태어난 죄의 본성과 삶에서 행한 모든 죄의 억압과 속박이 얼마나 버겁고 고통스러운지를 압니다. 그래서 그것에서 벗어나고 싶어합니다. 하나님의 은혜가 임하면 죄의 종으로 사는 것이 얼마나 비참하고 불행하는지를 깨닫습니다. 바울같이 자신의 곤고함 중에 하나님의 도움을 구할 수 밖에 없습니다. 아무리 착하게 산다고 해도, 율법의 조항을 지키며 살려고 해도, 죄의 속박에서 벗어날 수가 없습니다. 유일하게 그것에서 벗어날 수 있는 길은 예수 그리스도 밖에는 없습니다. 그리스도는 자신을 속죄제물로 십자가에서 드려 우리의 죄값을 지불하시고 우리의 죄를 동이 서에서 먼 것처럼 옮기셨습니다. 또한 자신을 화목 제물로 드려 우리의 죄에 대한 하나님의 거룩하고 의로우신 진노를 만족시키셨습니다. 그래서 그리스도는 그의 피, 곧 그의 생명을 드려 우리를 죄의 속박, 저주, 압제에서 해방하여 주셨습니다. 이것이 얼마나 큰 은혜인지는 죄의 속박으로 고통을 당해본 사람은 압니다. 그리스도의 피는 우리의 죄값을 완전하게 지불하기에 능합니다. 그 은혜를 인하여 하나님을 송축하는 것이 우리의 본분입니다.  

It is a privilege to live in a country that respects and upholds the value of freedom. We are given basic rights and freedoms as human beings, but we often don't feel like we are living up to these rights and freedoms. Many students feel tied down by their studies and unable to enjoy their freedom. Office workers also want to live life to the fullest without working, so many of them feel shackled to their jobs. Housewives also feel trapped by the burdens of household chores and want to escape. Many modern people see marriage as a bondage and choose not to get married. Many young people feel that family is also a bondage and want to be free. Freedom means being able to live freely without being tied to anything. Responsibilities, duties, and duties are also seen as bondage, and there is a constant desire to escape from them. He who fulfills his responsibilities is truly free, but he who shirks his responsibilities is not free. He who does as he pleases is never free, but is in bondage to the fetters of his own self. This is because man is a sinner. Ever since the sin of Adam and Eve, man has been a slave to sin. Because he does not know this, he constantly feels that his studies, home, work, and daily life oppress him and keep him in bondage. A saved person knows that he or she has been a slave to sin. They recognize that they have a sinful nature. He knows that he cannot free himself from that sinful nature, no matter how hard he tries. You know how burdensome and painful the oppression and bondage of the sin nature you were born with and all the sin you have done in your life is, and so you want to be free from it. When God's grace comes upon you, you realize how miserable and unhappy it is to live as a slave to sin. No matter how good we try to be, no matter how much we try to live by the provisions of the law, we cannot escape from the bondage of sin. The only way out of it is through Jesus Christ. Christ offered himself as a sin offering on the cross to pay for our sins and to move our sins as far away as the east is from the west. He also offered himself as a sacrifice of propitiation, satisfying God's holy and righteous wrath against our sins. So, Christ gave His blood, that is, His life to free us from the bondage, curse, and oppression of sin. Anyone who has ever suffered under the bondage of sin knows how great a grace this is. Christ's blood is perfectly adequate to pay the penalty for our sins, and because of that grace, it is our duty to praise God.
