북미주 통독 바이블 세미나를 다녀와서(North America Tongdok Bible Seminar)

저와 아내는 27-28일 미주 통성경 세미나에 다녀왔습니다. 플로리다 올란도에 소재한 아름다운 교회가 장소와 음식을 제공해 주었습니다. 통성경은 한국에 있는 조병호 박사님이 만든 표현입니다. 이분은 지난 35년간 성경 연구에 전념하였습니다. 성경 전체가 한가지 이야기입니다. 성경이면 충분합니다. 성경을 단편적으로 이해하지 않고 전체를 아우르는 한 이야기로 이해합니다. 성경 전체를 관통하는 핵심 주제가 하나님 나라입니다. 구약과 신약은 별개의 책이 아니라 하나의 이야기를 이룹니다. 그 이야기는 예수 그리스도입니다. 그는 하나님 나라의 왕이십니다. 구약의 모든 이야기는 그리스도의 십자가를 보여줍니다. 십자가를 통하여 이루신 새언약은 교회를 통하여 전해집니다. 교회는 하나님 나라를 확장하는 도구입니다. 구약은 이스라엘 백성, 곧 제사장 나라에 대한 이야기입니다. 제사장 나라는 유월절 어린양으로 시작한 나라입니다. 하나님의 용서가 있는 나라입니다. 이웃 사이에 나눔과 거룩이 있는 나라입니다. 민족 사이에 평화가 있는 나라입니다. 장자와 성전으로 이끄는 나라입니다. 이 나라는 신약의 하나님 나라로 이어집니다. 하나님 나라는 하나님의 어린양이신 예수님으로 시작한 나라입니다. 하나님을 아버지라 부르는 나라입니다. 한 영혼이 천하보다 귀한 나라입니다. 십자가를 통해서 완성되는 나라입니다. 제자와 교회로 이끄는 나라입니다. 우리는 이틀 간 크게 세 가지 주제를 다루었습니다: 1) “제사장 나라, 십자가 그 순간, 하나님 나라로”(4복음서), 2) 예레미야 70년: 징계, 교육, 안식, 제국 수명 4가지 70년을 통한 새 언약 예고, 3) 통하는 사도행전 30년: 산헤드린 공회 결정(‘전도인’을 죽이는) vs. 예루살렘 공회 결정(‘전도인’을 세우는). 첫째는 창세기 모리아 산 번제 사건(창22), 유월절 어린양 사건(출22), 그리스도의 십자가가 한 이야기라는 것 입니다. 둘째는 바벨론 포로기 70년을 통하여 예수님의 새언약에 대한 예고가 탄생하였다는 이야기입니다. 셋째는 세상 나라를 표방하는 산헤드린 공회와 하나님 나라를 대표하는 예루살렘 공회의 갈등 속에서 바울이 어떻게 하나님 나라의 복음을 전하였는지에 대한 이야기입니다. 조병호 박사님은 여러 해 전에 한국어 통독 바이블을 만들었습니다. 그런데 이번에 영어 통독 바이블 앱을 만들었습니다. 영어 성경 NIV로 성경을 시대순으로 1년 동안 읽을 수 있게 만들었습니다. 매일 다섯 가지 쉬운 포인트를 기억할 수 있게 하였습니다. 성경은 크게 20가지 이야기로 나누어 하나님의 마음을 이해하게 하였습니다. 성경 전체를 일곱 개의 트랙으로 이해할 수 있도록 만들었습니다. 이 앱은 무료로 다운로드할 수 있습니다. 저는 통성경을 함께 배울 수 있는 기회를 만들어 보고 싶습니다. 그래서 하나님의 말씀을 바르게 알고 행하여 성숙하는 우리 모두가 되길 기도합니다. 

My wife and I have been to North America TongBible Seminar on Jan. 27-28. Beautiful Church, located in Orlando, FL, provided its place and food for us. Dr. Byoungho Zoh in Korea coined the term “TongBible.” He has devoted himself to studying the Bible. The Bible is one story. The Bible is sufficient. The Bible is to be understood not fragmentarily, but wholly. The key theme that runs through the entire Bible is the kingdom of God. The Old Testament and the New Testament are not separate books but are constitutive of one story. That is Jesus Christ. He is the King of the kingdom of God. All stories in the OT points to the cross of Christ. The New Covenant fulfilled by the cross of Christ is spread through the church. The church is a means of expanding the kingdom of God. The OT is the story of the Israelites as a kingdom of priests. This kingdom is initiated by the lamb of Passover. There is forgiveness, sharing with neighbor, holiness, and peace with neighboring countries in this kingdom. It operates through the firstborn and the temple. This kingdom is succeeded by the kingdom of god. The kingdom of God is launched by Jesus the Lamb of God. The citizens of the kingdom call God as “Father.” A single soul is more precious than the whole world in this kingdom. The kingdom of God is completed by the cross of Jesus. It operates through His disciples and church. We dealt with three major topics for two days: 1) A Kingdom of Priests, The Moment of the Cross, and the Kingdom of God(The Four Gospels), 2) The 70 Year Captivity in Jeremiah: Discipline, Training, Rest, the Span of the Babylonian Kingdom, and the Prediction of the New Covenant, 3) The Thirty Years of Acts: The Jewish Sanhedrin Decisions to Kill Evangelists of Jesus vs. The Jerusalem Council Decisions to Install Evangelists of Jesus. The first is that the Moriah event in Genesis 22, the Passover lamb event in Ex. 12, and the cross of Christ are one story. The second is that the prediction of the New Covenant is spawned out of the 70 year Babylonian Captivity. The third is how Paul spread the gospel of the kingdom of God in the conflicts between the Sanhedrin, which represents the kingdom of this world, and the Jerusalem Council, which represents the kingdom of God. Years ago, Dr. Joh made Korean Tong-dok Bible. But this time, he made English Dong-dok Bible app. You can read the NIV chronologically for one year. There are five easy points to remember. The whole Bible is divided into 20 stories to understand the heart of God. The Bible is divided into 7 tracks to understand the changing atmospheres in the Bible. You can download it for free. I would like to make opportunity for you to learn the TongBible. It is my prayer that all of us would understand and practice the Bible rightly, and so grow mature.
