교회 공동 의회 소집(Call for Congregational Meeting)

그린빌 은혜 교회는 Grace Bible Church에서 2011년 1월 23일 오후 2시에 첫 예배를 드리며 시작되었습니다. 3개월 후에는 ARP Greenville Presbyterian Church로 이사하여 거의 7년 간 그곳에서 모임을 가졌습니다. ARP 교회에서 아무 것도 요구하지 않고 건물을 사용하도록 허락해 주었습니다. 우리는 고마움의 표시로 일 년에 두 차례 헌금을 ARP 교회에 하였습니다. 이 교회 분들의 후한 도움으로 우리는 교회 건물을 구입할 수 있는 돈을 저축할 수 있었습니다. 거의 5년 전에 우리는 베트남 교회로부터 현 교회 건물을 17만 불에 구입하였습니다. 이 금액의 반 정도로 선지불하고 8만 5천불을 South State Bank에서 융자했습니다. 첫 5년 만기일이 다가오는 12월 18일입니다. 우리는 그 동안 2만 4천불 정도를 갚았습니다. 현재 남아 있는 금액은 6만 천불 정도입니다. 우리는 그동안 모기지 페이먼트를 한번도 놓치지 않고 지불할 수 있었습니다. 여러 어려움을 지나면서도 교우 여러분들의 헌금으로 교회 건물 융자를 갚을 수 있었습니다. 이제 우리는 재융자를 신청할 때가 되었습니다. 5년 전에 있던 분들이 많이 타주로 이주하였습니다. 남아 있는 우리들이 해야 할 일은 교회 공동 의회를 소집해서 재융자 건에 대하여 들은 후에 가/부를 묻고 통과해야 합니다. 연방 정부가 이번 달에 이자율을 또 올리기 전에 이번 안건을 빨리 처리해야 필요가 있어서 급하게 다음 주일, 10월 9일 예배 후에 교회 공동 의회를 소집하려 합니다. 교회 건물은 우리가 모여 하나님을 예배하며 믿음을 실천하는 곳입니다. 융자 문제를 조속히 해결하여 지장 없이 우리가 계속 예배로 모일 수 있어야 할 것입니다. 여러분의 도움과 지지가 필요합니다. 에벤에셀의 하나님은 우리 은혜교회를 지금까지 도우셨습니다. 그린빌 은혜 교회가 복음 전파와 제자 삼는 사역을 지속할 수 있도록 기도와 후원을 부탁드립니다. 

Korean Grace Church of Greenville started its first worship service at Grace Bible Church, 2:00 P.M. on Jan. 23, 2011. In three months, we moved to ARP Greenville Presbyterian Church, where we spent the next seven years holding our meetings. Without asking for anything, the ARP church allowed us to use their facilities freely. Each year, we gave two love offerings to the ARP church as a sign of appreciation. Due to their generosity, we were able to save money to buy our church building. Around 5 years ago, we purchased our current church building from a Vietnamese church for $170,000. We made the half of it as down payment and loaned $85,000 from South State Bank. The maturity date for the first five years this coming Dec. 18. So far, we have paid about 24 thousand dollars back to the bank. The outstanding balance is about $61,000. Thus far, we have been able to make monthly payment without a failure. Despite a few hardships, we have been able to repay our mortgage through your offerings. It is time for us to apply for refinancing. Many of our church families, who were with us five years ago, moved to other states. We, who are still here in the church, have to pass this refinancing issue in our Congregational meeting in which we will be first explained about the issue and then asked, “Aye” or “Nay.” We need to pass the agenda before the Fed government raises interest rate again this month. So, we will hold a congregational meeting next Lord’s Day, the ninth of October. Church building is a place where we gather to worship God and practice faith. By taking care of the refinancing issue quickly, we should be able to continue to gather for worship without any trouble. We need your help and support.
